The pupil premium is allocated to schools in respect of children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.
Schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit to “close the gap” between children from disadvantaged circumstances and those above the low-income threshold – it is not linked to a specific child, but is to be used for overall impact. However, we are held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils from low-income families. Please see the plans below about we are using the funding to increase achievement, aspiration and accomplishment at Godfrey Ermen.
Our school is proud to be part of the Children's University Trust.
The Children's University (CU) Trust is a charitable trust that provides 7 to 14 year olds with exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside normal school hours. We celebrate achievement and reward participation through our certificates. Raising children's aspirations is important to us and we aim to develop the understanding that learning can be "...a satellite navigation system to better places in life…".
