Special Needs Provision

Does your child have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or a Disability?

At Godfrey Ermen Primary, we work hard to ensure that all pupils:

  • Have a broad and balanced curriculum which is differentiated to meet individual needs and learning preferences.
  • Have access to a purposeful learning environment that enables them to make progress according to their individual developmental trends.
  • Are assessed appropriately using assessment tools and guidelines.
  • Have equal access to resources, provision and intervention as needed.

Special Educational Needs provision is educational provision that is additional to or different from that made generally for others of the same age. This means provision that goes beyond the differentiated approaches and learning arrangements normally provided as part of quality first teaching. It may take the form of additional support from within a setting or require involvement of specialist staff or support services.

Miss Mills is our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo).  She, along with the rest of our staff, will support you, so we can work together to meet your child’s needs.

Our school is proud to be part of the Children's University Trust.

The Children's University (CU) Trust is a charitable trust that provides 7 to 14 year olds with exciting and innovative learning activities and experiences outside normal school hours. We celebrate achievement and reward participation through our certificates. Raising children's aspirations is important to us and we aim to develop the understanding that learning can be "...a satellite navigation system to better places in life…".
