We believe that the regular education of all children, irrespective of age, gender, race or ability is crucial to each and every pupil.
It is proven that there is a strong link between good attendance and attainment in children. Therefore, in order for your child to reach their full potential, a high level of attendance is essential.
By law, all children of compulsory school age (5 to 18) must receive a suitable full time education. Once your child is registered at school you are legally responsible for making sure that they attend regularly. If your child fails to do so, you risk getting a penalty or being prosecuted. Holidays will not be authorised.
Parents and carers must:
Any child arriving after 9.25am will receive a U code which is an unauthorised absence.
When children are in school they: |
|
- achieve their full potential - have better career prospects - learn how to look after themselves and be healthy - build their confidence - keep up with work with their friends - build up friendships |
