Safeguarding

At Godfrey Ermen Primary, we are committed to safeguarding. 

Our Safeguarding Team are: 

Julia Kinch - Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead
Tracy Williams - Family Liaison Officer 
Gillian Stanger - Deputy Headteacher 

Our team can be contacted via the school office. We are also on hand in the playground at the beginning of everyday.

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is the process used to inform or report to schools, prior to 9.00 a.m. the following school day, when the police have attended an incident in which a child or young person has been involved in or been exposed to an incident of domestic violence or abuse. The information is given to a trained ‘Key Adult’ within the school. The child can then be supported with silent or overt support.

We have a group of KS2 experts in our school who look at how we can keep safe online - they are our digital leaders! 

Our digital leaders work with Miss Gowing, our computing lead, each week to learn about how to be a digital leader and support around school. 

They produce newsletters each term for children and parents to use to help to stay safe online. You can find the links to their newletters and information on the left.
